This Danish baptism record is different than I've encountered before (which isn't saying much since
This record gives the names of the couple Rasmus Andersen and wife Maren Jensdatter of Almtoft. Our family records show that they have 10 children at this date and show this child Niels to be their 11th. We question whether this child is really theirs since this parish record seems to list that the child is illegitimate and the mother is Niels Mellers Datter Anne of Almtof and the child's father to be Albret Nielsen of Karup --- from what our novice eyes can decipher.
Could someone please let me know what the words circled in the image are in Danish and their meanings and why the couple Rasmus Andersen and wife Maren Jensdatter would be announcing the birth of this illegitimate child? Is there a Danish custom as to a certain relation having this role? Thank you so much for taking the time to help us on this!!

I can't figure out the word preceding "Uægte", but I am pretty certain that it means that Rasmus Andersens wife Maren Jensdatter carried the child to the baptism. You are correct that this is not their child but the child of Niels Meller's daughter, Anne, and the father is Albret Nielsen of Karup. The word preceding Rasmus Andersen is probably his profession, but that, too, eludes me. The word preceding Niels Mellers Datter is, I believe, "tilhørte" which would be "belonging to". The word preceding "d. 16 Februari" is "Løverdagen", which is "Saturday". Perhaps @Tanner Blair Tolman or @Charlotte Noelle Champenois could help out on this.

See my above transcription and translations. You are correct, Niels is not the son of Rasmus and Maren. There is not a custom for a certain relation bringing the child to the church. I don't think Rasmus or Maren were related to the child or the mother, but it is always possible.
