I have a Danish Christening record in 1794 for Maren where I can read the dates and parents but I ca
The first date is 4 Jul 1794 -- was this the birth? I believe it says that Jens Pedersen is the father and Ann Kirstine Jensdatter is the mother. Being christened on 13 Jul 1794. (Those are the names and the dates on our family records) I believe this is the source record but I see many words and names and places -- Lemming is one of those -- that will give us more insight. If you can read any more of the words/places/names and let me know what they are I'd greatly appreciate it.

Julie, have you seen this record of Maren and her parents? https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/family/L68W-V78 The record you asked about indicates Maren was christened 4 July and then in the church on 13 July. Her father is a servant in Serup Præstegaard and her mother ?something in annexgaarden in Lemming. Niels Sørensen's wife of Nisset carried the child to the christening. Witnesses were Hans Birk of Lemming, Peder Ni?lajsen from the same, Bertel Holt from the same, Johanne Gustavsdatter servant in annexgaarden.

Thank you! @Shari Duce for taking the time for the translation and finding the census record.
I do know about the FamilySearch record. I'm trying to track down each vital source and census records for Maren Jensdatter and her family.
Originally my great-grandfather, Niels Christensen from Denmark did some research and ordinance work in 1928 on this family (some work was done in the 1880s). Then my grandfather, James A. Christensen did a lot of research on the Danish lines -- then my mother and 2 aunts worked on the lines. Now that they have all died, my brother and I are just starting to look at the Danish lines and found that the records that my grandfather had -- typed pedigree charts -- have different information for Maren Jensdatters parents, grandparents, etc. than FamilySearch is showing.
Also, on FamilySearch Maren only shows having 1 husband and 6 children -- where in reality she had 2 more husbands and 4 more children. I've been chasing down all of the records of each of these other husbands and children to verify my grandfather's records and so far I have found everything to verify that his record were correct for the 2 other husbands and additional children. I'll be attaching and adding that information FamilySearch soon. I just wanted to verify everything before I made any changes.
I'm now working on Maren Jensdatter and her parents. This birth record is my first step. In my grandfather's typed record he had her parents as Jens Pedersen Lemming (with parents as Peder Jensen Geidsen and Maren Sorensen) and Ann Kirstine Jensen Lundum (with parents Jens Christensen Lundum and Maren Nielsen Aggerskou).
FamilySearch has her parents as Jens Pedersen Nedergard (with parents as Peder Jensen Nedergard and Anne Anderdatter) and Anna Kirstine Jensdatter (with parents Jens Jensen Syndergaard and Else Bertelsdatter).
Hoping I can sort it out and find the correct records -- not sure which is right at the moment.
Thanks again for all of the help that you have given me! Your skills are awesome.

It's wonderful you are working on making the records accurate. With many people having the same names (even couples) there can be errors. If I can be of assistance just let me know.

In the sources for Jens Pedersen Nedergård it troubles me that there are not sources for this individual between 1810 and 1850. It is a large span of time for there to be confusion about his identity. Also, the age (at death source) gives a birth year (estimated) of 1774, this does not match the 1768 date in his vitals section.

Are you familiar with the military levying rolls? I think they will be key to your research. This image is from the 1795 roll in Lægd #63 (Lemming parish). We see the father's names (green) and sons (red). So there are two Jens Pedersens in the same parish almost the same age.

No, I don't know anything about the military levying rolls. I will look into them. Thanks for pointing me to them. I'm excited for any new sources I can learn about that will aid me in my search.

I would be interested in the first entry because the father is named Peder Birk and the age of Jens is within 1 year of your Jens Pedersen. It interests me because we see someone named Hans Birk among the witnesses of Maren's christening.
When you are ready to adventure into the military rolls is is helpful to have a proven example to help understand the records and how to find them. It's tricky to navigate without some help in the beginning. I took a class or two and still struggled but I'm a bit slow I guess. The roll helps you know the location of a man, his father and where he goes as he moves about and the fun stuff of height and military involvement (I don't get into those notes).

Sorry, just one more comment. In the 1804 military roll we see again the two Jens Pedersens in the same parish (Lemming). I'm still studying it but I did see in the comments for the Jens that is 33 year old it mentions Niels Sørensen of Nisset. We saw that name in the witnesses for Maren's christening. By the way, the names of the men named Jens on this record are being marked out because they are being released from military obligation. I'd really like @Tanner Blair Tolman to give some ideas about this study. Link to Maren Jensdatter, trying to document correct father. https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/L68W-V78

The 33 year old Jens Pedersen is born in Vinderslev, the 34 year old Jens Pedersen is born in Lemming.
