His wife died in 1877 and her death certificate states that he was still alive at that time. That's my only clue as to the timing of his death. Do I have to write to Teano officials to get an answer? Thanks!

The documents you need to check are possibly here:

    https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/42047?availability=Family History Library

Unfortunately, until the Family Centers re-open, there is no way to access them!

Alternatively, the Municipality of Teano must have 10-year indexes fom 1865 on, but you need to have someone "on the ground" for browsing through them, as the clerks are unlikely to run a search with so vague indications...

Also in this area, due to covid, a lot of access restrictions apply!

Thank you so much Paolo for taking the time to answer my question. I truly appreciate it. I miss going to my Family History Center and I hope they open soon. Any inside scoop as to when they might open? It's coming up on a year now and I'm having research withdrawal!!! 😁

I'm a Missionary assigned to the Family History Center. They have not given us a date yet, but are telling us all to get the vaccine and hope to open late spring, early summer... Nothing set in stone yet...

Hello Vergie! So glad to hear there is an approximate date for opening. Can't wait. Thanks for answering my question. Karen
