Niels born 24 September, christened in the church 8 October 1854. Parents, unmarried Maren Nielsdatter of N. Strengsholt, said to be father Niels Christensen from Store Rugtved. Witnesses, maiden Maren Gregersdatter of Nybro (village in Albæk), maiden Martha Jacobsdatter of Faldt (village in Albæk). Bachelor Peder Nielsen of N. Stengsholt, bachelor Niels Nielsen from the same place, bachelor Hans Christensen of Store Rugtved.
I don't know if you are looking for Maren, but this is a possible census for her prior to this birth. Notice her two brothers are Niels Nielsen and Peder Nielsen. The place name is very important to help possibly tie these people together, Nørre Strengsholt. The names are very common so more study would be need to prove this theory.

I'm getting an ulcer. I am writing a history of Neils Christensen Heiselt (KWJC-2FQ) about his wife Karen Kirstine Hansdatter. I have come across three illigitimate children, including this Niels Christian Nielsen (Heiselt), when Neils was 19 and 20 years old. I cannot find the connection for Nielsen to Heiselt. Whoever entered it I cannot find the connection. Does this record make the connection?

Before I address your thoughts, I did find Niels Christen Nielsen b. 1854 in the census with his unmarried mother. This is the illegitimate son of the above Niels Christensen KWJC-2FQ. Now to your thoughts. My professional friend and researcher at the Family History Library, Morris Geoffrey Froberg, has made notes about the name of Heiselt that can be seen on the record for the father of Niels, this is Christen Hansen LZNQ-7PL. He states: "There is no evidence in the Danish parish records, Danish Censuses, Military Levying Rolls, or the LDS membership records in Denmark that Christen Hansen used the surname Heiselt in Denmark."
You'll see this place name (Heihelt also spelled Hejselt, a village in Albæk) in the 1833 christening for Niels Christensen. But, the name could have been used by his son, so further study needed.
Did you have a record you wanted to share about this name?
