Birth Record Translation in Norway
In Romfo, Sunndal, More og Romsdal, Norway I found a birth record for Ingeborg Johnsdatter on 13 July 1897 and baptism 26 September 1897 from the parents John Taraldsen and Oline Halvorsdatter from Vollan farm.
Can anyone read what is after father's name John Taraldsen says or what is his residence is? Looks like he is coming from Opdal county, but can't read the one word to help me track down where in Opdal.
I'm looking at page 50, line 7 (Bottom half of the page)

I'm not familiar enough with the farms of Opdal to know right off hand what this says, so I'll explain how I cheat.
First off, John's full name, which includes his farm name as his surname, and residence are both given so that gives two chances to read the name. I'm pretty confident of De_lirøn___ so I can go to the 1891 census and search for *lirøn* in a nationwide search.
Detlirønningen in Oppdal, Sør-Trøndelag, pops right up as the only option. In the parish record then, it is easy to read Detllrøning for his residence. It looks like the priest might have thrown in an extra N, Detlirønning, in his surname.

There is a farm Detli in Opdal, Sør-Trøndelag, Norway. Opdal is just over the border to Sør-Trøndelag County from Sunndal parish in Møre og Romsdal County. Since the father of Ingeborg came from a tenant farmer farm Detlirønning is correct. There was no standardized spelling in Norway this early therefore you may she many variations of names and place as far as spelling is concerned.

Gordan,
Like always thanks for the help and how you found the farm name. I am trying my best to read the record, but when I can't I turn to this website for help. I tried so hard to Translate the word Detlirønningen. 99% of my work has been in Romfo, Sunndal, More og Romsdal, and when I get a farm name outside of Romfo it harder for me.
With @Liv Anderson2 and @Gordon Collett , telling more information of the farm name and county this is what I found today.
1.First I saw John Taraldsen on this birth record which both of you helped translate (line 7).

2.With your information of Detlirønningen I went to the census records in Sør-Trøndelag County, and looked for Detlirønningen and found John Taraldsen, Father Taralk Thoresen, Mother Ingeburg Roaldsdatter, and sister Rannei Tarldsdatter in 1875.

3.I found John's birth record with his parent's names to match it (line 69) with his parent's names.

4.Birth record leads me to confirmation (line 7) with parent's names.

5.With birth/confirmation record I started looking for marriage. You told me he wasn't married to Oline, but I still looked around and found him married to someone else, Kristine Johnsdatter (line 21).

6.I looked in family search I found him (LJV7-JQ6) married to Kristine.

I might ask more questions if I can't read the farm name of the parents as I keep digging into this information.

Great! Glad you were able to find so much. I'm happy to help out when I can. Since this is a public board, I do like to use questions as a springboard to teach research strategies, approaches to problems, and tricks I have found helpful such as finding the farm in the census when I could only read part of the name in hopes of helping others beyond the one who originally asked the question learn basic principles. That is why I lay out in painful detail my thought processes and techniques. I hope no one finds it as annoying as my kids do!

I have done a lot of research on this family and made webinars about one of the descendants: Anne Henriksdatter Uv (1891-1960).
Here is a blogpost I have written with some information about Detli and links to many Oppdal sources: https://genealogicalresearchnorway.blog/2021/01/11/2000-opdalinger-emigrated-to-the-us-and-canada/
