Hustra vs piga?
Need help with name and if married or not. Link is to Sophia Larsdr born 11apr1828. Is the letter in front of name an H indicating hustra or something else? https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0039301_00124#?c=&m=&s=&cv=123&xywh=315%2C1258%2C1277%2C2000
Thank you for your help. Deniese
PS- what is the Carlson at left of name?
P.s.s.- could the H be an A? Full name is Anna Sophia. The entry above says person was a piga. Did the recorder not put the word piga on sofia's name for lack of space??

I don't believe it is an "H". This records looks like "Fl" which could be "fraulein"-the writer, perhaps, trying to be a little bit "fancy". In the same vein, occasionally, you will run across a young woman being a "demoiselle" which is certainly not Swedish! Additionally, the note to the far right of this page has a word which is probably "ledig" sloppily written. Ledig means she is free (to get married).
The name "Carlsson" is probably the family she has moved in with.

Looks as though I was wrong about the "Carlsson", too. Here she is in Visnum and there is no Carlsson in sight:) : https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0039290_00069#?c=&m=&s=&cv=68&xywh=538%2C2295%2C2497%2C1312 .

If you look at https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0039292_00112#?c=&m=&s=&cv=111&xywh=217,2046,6418,3306 (and also page 84 of the same volume), it shows that she married 12/4 1852 to Per August Hane. Before that she is listed in the household exam books as Piga. Hope this helps.
