I am trying to find the mother and father of Marte Olsdatter born 8 Sept 1816, Vardal Oppland Norway.

This record is of Marte's baptism and shows Marte's Mother and Father's name.

I would like to find and confirm all the information available on the parents. Their names, birth and death dates and places etc. Thanks for any help you may provide.

You must not have noticed that this particular parish record has been transcribed by the volunteer program the Norwegian archives has in place. These are done either by archive personnel or other groups. This particular parish record was transcribed by the Gjøvik og Toten slektshistorielag. These transcriptions are usually very high quality and complete. The transcription gives you all the information that is in this record. Since Marte's mother has a somewhat unusual name, you can do a search in the parish record for her as the mother and find that the family moved between 1816 and 1823 and had one last child who is missing from Family Tree:

 

 

The 1809 to 1813 parish register has also been transcribed and by searching for Ber* Da* as mother you can find the three children born in that time span, again with a full transcription of the record:

Hope these give you some of the information you need. Places and names are all consistent enough to be confident these are all the same family based on Berret's less common name and that she is always there in these records with Ole Nielsen.
