About 6 months ago, I asked for help translating a poem by my 3GG Berthe Mikkelsdatter Vikheim (1812-after 1880) and was rewarded with good suggestions, esp. by Charlotte Noelle Champenois. After some delay, I posted a blog article about this yesterday. See link below. Any comments or suggestions are welcome. I'm particulary interested in knowing if the language used was Landsmål. And I still cannot figure out when she died, but probably need to just visit Goodhue County, Minnesota at some point.
