Sources from Ancestry.com are about to get WORSE!!
In early-mid November, Ancestry.com made a change to the way all users evaluate and choose sources. It became a 3-step process.
About that same time, I noticed problems with the LDS option to compare/sync sources:
On the comparison page, many Ancestry.com sources appeared only as "No Source Title".
I tried (one time, one source), to sync "No Source Title" with Family Search, and that source in Family Search also showed as "No Source Title". The source was useless (and immediately removed)!
I have since made numerous attempts to contact Ancestry.com via email and phone. It's been nearly 2 months and the problems with the LDS "Comparison Page" still exists.
(A few sources WILL appear correctly, but not the majority of sources).
This problem ONLY appears for church members. Thus, few Ancestry representatives know what I am talking about when I mention the "Comparison Page", especially when those representatives are located overseas and English is not their first language.
In one tree created in November 2020, I have 1,849 "good" sources, and many of those sources cannot be compared/synced with Family Search. Much of my time was wasted in finding those sources! I check back periodically and those sources STILL show only as "No Source Title".
A few weeks ago, on a Sunday, Ancestry.com had a survey inquiring about the new way of displaying sources. I answered that survey, and explained this problem.
Last time I checked, sources (for LDS church members) still aren't working the majority of the time on the "Comparison Page".
Source titles WILL appear in the TREE (individual's profile page), but once you go to the LDS "Comparison Page", those sources titles are CHANGED to "No Source Title".
Does anyone know when/if this will be corrected? It worked absolutely GREAT in the past.

Have you tried copying sources via a Program such as Rootsmagic or Ancestral Quest to your computer then uploading to FamilySearch?

Thank you for your suggestion.
When/if Ancestry.com is working correctly, I have no need for a commercial genealogy program on my Mac. I create a TREE in Ancestry.com and backup that Tree via a gedcom saved to my desktop.
For years and years, I used PAF on my PC computer. I switched to a Mac, purchased several different mac genealogy programs, and none can compete with my old PAF program as far as data manipulation goes.

I don't believe documents and photos will back up, however -- just the data and sources.

Be sure you have a current backup when relying on an Ancestry tree. I have been an Ancestry user for many years and two years ago, I logged into Ancestry and looked at my tree to find that my whole paternal line had vanished. Ancestry did nothing to restore it and made no attempt to claim responsibility. 18,000+ entries just vanished overnight. If you have RootsMagic, you can download your tree from Ancestry and not only the data is downloaded, but all the records and photos are downloaded into a folder in your document file. It is the only way I am aware of that can bring the Ancestry materials that are attached to each individual in your tree and place them in a folder on your computer. RootsMagic works with Mac and when RM8 is released, the MAC will have a native program that will work just as the program does on a PC. You might want to consider that option. It is very simple to share information to FamilySearch with RM. Just a thought!

Thanks so VERY much for taking the time to tell me about this! Now I can back up EVERYTHING! I have experienced a difficult time finding a program that I like for my Mac. (Have tried several).
Just purchased RM, downloaded, watched a video, and it looks like this will work great for me.
I've got a LOT of files that I do not want to lose.
Thanks again.
