Help with Danish Burial record and Birth record
The burial record below shows Margrethe Hansdatter of Vilslev, wife of Søren Hansen, was buried 22 October 1792. But what is the reference at the far right to Hans (father?) and words/numbers after Hans? The 68 years at death seems to be for the entry above, but is there an age for Margrethe? (Vilslev Parish, Ribe; Enesteministerialblog, 1727-1814: 1727 FVD- 1801 FVD, p. 141/image 145 Rigsarkivet (https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/en/billedviser?epid=17124052#164660,27658642)
Am I reading the birth record below correctly- Soren, son of Hans Olesen in Allerup? What is the word between Olesen and Allerup? Also, am I missing the mother's name? (Same book as above, p. 24, image 27) https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/en/billedviser?epid=17124052#164660,27658524 Thank you!

First record is for the 1792 death of Hans, the son of Søren Hansen and Magrethe Hansdatter. Possibly 4 months (or years) and 14 days old? In this time period mothers are not generally named in christening records.
Second record, 1756 Hans Ol_sen's (Olufsen's?) child of Hillerup, Søren. Hillerup is a village in the next door neighbor parish of Farup. Ingeborg Olufsdatter carried the child.
1788 marriage record for Søren and Magrethe: https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/en/billedviser?epid=17124052#164660,27658686
Other's opinions are welcomed to help out on these two questions.

Thank you for your help! I knew I wasn't quite reading these records correctly.
Although the 1756 record probably is not the correct record, I am curious what it means to have "carried the child." Is it simply that she's the mother, or is there more to it?
Your interpretation of the 1792 death record led me to find the correct record that I was looking for, but I'm wondering if you can help me with the words between Hansen and Margrethe. Perhaps the word after Hansen is miller (Møller), but also not clear on the rest. (Vilslev Parish, Ribe, Enesteministerialblog, 1727-1814: 1727 FVD- 1801 FVD, p. 142/image 146; Margrethe Hansdatter, 1795 death; Rigsarkivet (https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/en/billedviser?epid=17124052#164660,27658643). Thanks you!!

Debbie, the mother of a child is seen by the church as "unclean" for a period of time, so another woman is asked to carry (in her arms) the child to the christening event (in the church). This can be a close relative or any other woman.
I'm still studying the word you asked about, I don't think it is møller. She is from Vilslev, 35 years old and 2? months? (difficult to read). If she left a child at her death, her husband could not remarry without a probate being done. This ensured the child would receive the proper inheritance.
I believe because of her age and location this is a good possible census for her prior to her marriage. More study would be needed to verify.

Did you see the christening of another child, Ester to Søren and Magrethe in 1791? https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/en/billedviser?epid=17124052#164660,27658575 We see Søren with a new wife in the 1801 census and the two children, Hans and Ester.

Søren and Anna were married 1795 in nearby parish of Farup. https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?bsid=161685#161685,27166846

I believe the word after Hansen is Slot as you see here in his 1803 death record. https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/en/billedviser?epid=17124052#164661,27658741

This family can be seen in the FamilySearch tree. It needs more work, of course. https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/LHTW-FMH I'm a little perplexed about Søren having a son who is alive in 1801 census and seeing a death record in 1792 that you have shared. We do see occasions where a family has more than one child by the same name.

Yes, I do have this record, but I appreciate all your help!

Thank you! Very interesting.

That makes sense as his son was referred to in various records as Hans Sørensen Slot.
Again, thanks for all your time and help!

Shari, I have one additional question hopefully you can clarify for me.
The birth record I originally posted has the place name Hillerup. Originally I thought it could be Allerup because I was in the Vislev Parish Churchbooks (where Allerup is located). You informed me that Hillerup is in the nearby parish of Farup. I do see that there are separate parish records for Farup, so why would the event be recorded in Vilslev? Also, I would think the priest would have recorded the parish name rather than the place name if it were being recorded outside of the parish.

Slot may mean 'castle' but I'm not sure. @Tanner Blair Tolman probably knows.

Thank you for your comment. If Slot does mean castle, does it infer that he owned a large estate, or something else? How best to research that?

The 1801 census for Søren and his 2nd wife Anna lists the occupation for Søren as "Husbonde Bonde og Gaardbeboer" so I don't think he owned a large estate. I'm not sure about your last question. The priest can write a parish or a village if he is recording where a person is from. When Søren and Ane Nielsdatter are married it says in the Farup parish register that Søren is from Vilslev Bye and parish, Ane is of Tanderup (a village in Farup). We do see occasions where a marriage is recorded in two neighboring parishes or villages. Maybe the brides parish and then the grooms.

Here is the 1801 in Vilslev parish.

@DebbieRose DebbieRose I looked it up on the Danish-English word list and slot does mean castle. He may have worked at the local castle for a period of time, or run deliveries there consistently, or lived close to it. The clerics were desperate sometimes for ways to differentiate all the people in their parishes with the same names. (See in the FS Research Wiki "Denmark Names, Personal".) <From that, you will see that lots of people shared names with lots of other people in their parish. I have one of the 10 Jorgen Hansen's in a parish and the cleric appended the word 'Spanner' to his name. I can't find the meaning of that word anywhere. I lived in England for a time and the word 'spanner' there means a wrench (tool).

Thank you. This gives me a better understanding of why he may have had the name Slot. I appreciate your response.
