film 007224103, image 472, birth of Else Marie in 1800. Left column of page 63, maybe half way down.
I am looking for father Jens Nielsen Madumgaard and mother Pettersine Christiane Nielsdatter. Are these the parents listed? There are just too many words I cannot read in this entry. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

The date is Sunday Esto Mihi which in 1800 was 23 February. The parents are Jens Nielsen in Madumgaard and wife Petersine (no last name). Their names are followed by "new daughter to baptism/christening called Else Marie". The rest of the entry is the names of godparents/christening witnesses.
The date is a little bit weird because the 2 christenings just prior to this one took place on the 2nd day of Easter which is 14 April. It probably just means that the entries are not chronological, but it is a little odd.
See here for the moveable feast days for 1800: https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Denmark:_Moveable_Feast_Days_in_1800
Here is a list of words common to christenings in Denmark: https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Denmark_Christening_Word_List .

Thank you for the information; I believe this is the couple I was seeking. I will add this daughter to their family. And thank you also for the links. I have paper calendars and word lists, but the ability to use the ones in the wiki will make it so much easier. Thank you!!!

Could you look at the same film (007224103), image 469. On the right hand page, left column, 1st full entry, there appears to be a birth/death/confirmation record for a child named Niels with the same parents as listed above. The word confirmation appears, but at the end are two dates. I am reading these as birth and christening dates. If that is the case, the date of 1799 can not be for his confirmation. What am I really seeing?
Thanks again.

In Denmark, many children were baptized/christened at home (Hjemmedøpt). That was usually only necessary if there was a concern that the child wouldn't survive to be christened/baptized in the church by the priest. If that was the case, then the home-baptism had to be confirmed in the church. That is what is happening here. Niels was born on 30 May 1797 and home-christened on 31 May 1797. That home-christening was then confirmed in the church on the 3rd Sunday after Trinity (Dom:3 p. Trinit:), 2 July 1797.

perfect! Thank you. From other records I knew about home christening, but I had never seen it recorded this way.
