Danish Adoption records
My sister in law's grandmother was adopted (which she found out when she was in her 80's). She was baptized in Copenhagen in 1904, when she was two years old. She always wanted to know about her biological family, but was never able to get answers because there is a 100 year waiting period. She passed many years ago and now that 100 years has also. Does anyone know how to go about requesting these records or where to write? My sister in law always has wanted to find this information in memory of her grandmother. Thanks in advance for any help.

I would start with this--try to find her baptismal record. Do you know her DOB and perhaps her biological parents' name?. If not that, did she keep her birth name? If the baptismal records for 1904 are online (do you know how to search them?), and you know some of the info that I asked about, you might be able to find her and skip the slow and perhaps expensive process of asking for adoption records.
