Finding military records
On the marriage record of my ancestor Henrich Nicolai Kladt who is K2JG-7DC in the FamilySearch tree, it says that he served as Musqreteer of Siellanden? Infanterie Regiment 9th Musq (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-894H-J4MH?from=lynx1UIV8&treeref=K2JG-7DC&i=260). The 1787 census refers to him as "gevorbene musqvetær Klat".
I'm curious if it would be possible to obtain military records for him, where they would be located, and if they would tell me anything about where he came from originally.
Thanks!

Thanks, Shari, I did have these records, but another look never hurts. I didn't pick up on the fact that he was a butcher later on.
In looking at the christenings records of his children again, the christening for Anne Marie in 1788 lists him as being in "Siellandske Infant Regiment of Kobenhavn" so that's information I hadn't found elsewhere.

Sorry I have limited experience with Copenhagen military records. I wonder if the National archives will have something for you.

Well, I tried looking in Daisy on sa.dk and for Sjællandske Infanteriregiment and I found a list of different ones that could be possible, though I have no idea which set of records might help:

In the 1785 christening of his son Andreas, it lists the military service as "Oldenborgske Sjellandske Infant Regiment 2nd Grenadier Compagnie", so it looks like he changed to something else later on.

Okay so to summarize, I've got this information about his military service.
His marriage in Thisted in 1780 says: Musqueteer of Siellandske Infanterie Regiment 9th Musq Comp
The christening of his daughter in 1784 says: Siellandske Inf. Regiment 9th Musqueteer Comp
The christening of his son in 1785 says: Oldenborgske Sjellandske Infant Regiment 2nd Grenadier Compagnie
In the 1787 census, his name is listed as "gevorbene musqvetær Klat" and it also says "logerende indsidder" and "tilfældig dagleyer og gevorben fr?? mand"
The christening of his daughter in 1788 says: Siellandske Infant Regiment of Kobenhavn
On the christenings of his children in 1791 and 1795, he is listed as Grenadeer Henrich Nicolai Kladt without any military branch mentioned, so perhaps by then he was no longer serving in the military
In the 1801 census he was listed as butcher
