Translation of Swedish Birth Record Needed, and cause of death in Death Record
Am I correct that the birth record below is for Brita Jöransdotter, born 19 August 1688 at Wähla? Who was her mother?
I think I get that the death record below states that Anders Olofsson died in Wähla 5 February 1764, and was 79. What was the cause of death Something? and weakness from old age?

Debbie Rose, If you can include the URL, especially for the birth record, that would be helpful.

I've been using arkivdigital to access the records. Below is the info. Thank you for your help!
Stora Mellösa, (Örebro, Sweden), C: 2, Fodelse & Doplangder (Birth and Christening register), 1688-1704, not paginated, Brita Jöransdotter, August 1688; digital image, Arkivdigital (https://app.arkivdigital.se/volume/v53829?image=11: accessed 6 August 2020), image 11.

The birth record is for Brita Jöransdotter and the date you have mentioned is correct. No mother is mentioned in the record. It does mention that the father, Jöran, is a soldier.
The death record has the cause of death as "fråssa och alderdoms svämpor(?)". I can't find a meaning for svämpor but the rest is "ague and old age", ague meaning "malaria or some other illness involving fever and shivering." Perhaps @Morris Geoffrey Fröberg could help.

Thank you so much! I was hoping for a mother's name, but I'll take what I can get!

The word in question is "ålderdomskrämpor" (in this case split in the middle), meaning "old age ailments."

The mother's name not given, child's name, and date are correct but the entry does not state a place of residence for Jöran Soldat. The witnesses (a.k.a. godparents) are from Wela, Wäla, and Råsta. The parents of Brita could be living somewhere else in the parish. You might try the mantalslängder for the residence of Jöran and his wife. Regarding the death and burial, the only thing I would add is that Anders Olofsson was a widower, a land owning farmer in Wähla, and died on the 3rd day of fråssa and ålderdoms krämpor. Fråssa was translated from 1814 to mean ague (meaning chills, fever, sweating like from malaria) and "old age ailments." He was buried on 12 följ. (-ande) meaning 12 February.
