Help with fæsteprotokol records
I would love some help interpreting these fæsteprotokol records for Henning Jacobsen. They are for Sorø Akademis Gods in Sorø. I don't need a full translation, I would just like to know if these documents give any information about Henning himself or his family members.
No. 2 on this one when he lived in Topshoy in Lynge parish: https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/billedviser?bsid=328299#328299,66100133
No. 6 on this one when he lived in Liunge in Lynge parish: https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/billedviser?bsid=328299#328299,66100213
Thanks!

Hi,
I am actually teaching a class on fæsteprotokol as part of the Family History Library's Nordic conference on September 19th so look for that! But generally only the first few lines of a fæsteprotokol will have genealogical information and then the rest will be the terms of their rent and stuff.
These are just two quicky translations. I say quicky because I skipped parts of the rhetoric that were harder to read but nothing I skipped would change the genealogical information or the context. If you want a more polished translation I could work on it more tomorrow.
The first one you said reads:
To Henning Jacobsen who possesses a house in Topshøj, the house that Peder Jensen in Liunge parish and hamlet has renounced. Which the aforesaid Henning Jacobsen may use and enjoy in his lifetime. May he always keep the buildings in good condition. The 1st of May he agrees to pay 2 rigsdaler and in the 4th quarter 2 rigsdaller. He agrees to pay the royal taxes. To enter in to this contract he pays 4 rigsdaler.
Here is the second one:
"To Henning Jacobsen the 1/2 farm out in Liunge parish and hamlet which Christopher Olesen last inhabited and because of his old age and weakness has willingly given up, which 1/2 farm has a hartkorn value of 4 tønder 3 skæpper 3 fjerdinkar 2 album of which Henning Jacobsen may enjoy the use of in his lifetime and hold in copyhold as long as he yearly and in due time pays the royal taxes and contributions, the land dues according to the jordebøger, and conducts corvee labor just like the other inhabitants in the hamlet, to keep the farm's buildings in good condition at all time, and to be responsible for the earth in the fields. The copyholder has also agreed that Christopher Olesen and his wife Ingeborg Sørensdatter for both their life times can remain in the house which Henning has in copyhold. For this he after his royal majesty's graceful laws and ordinances he agrees to act honorably and obediently to everything in this copyhold's terms. To enter in to this contract he pays 10 rigsdaler. Sealed under my hand.
In general it sounds to me like Henning was hard working and actively trying to improve his situation. He started out in a house, then move to another one (probably a better one), and then he moved to a half farm. He agreed to take care of the previous tenants and paid a entrance fee to get into the farm.

Tanner, thank you so much for taking the time to look at this for me, your translation was sufficient for what I needed. If I'm understanding correctly, there was no mention of where Henning was born nor any relationship mentioned between him and the former occupants of the property he leased?
I'm glad to hear there will be a class on these records coming up as I would like to understand them better. I've watched all of the Denmark webinars that are on the FamilySearch, and they have been so helpful in expanding what I can do and I have found many more of my family as a result. I really enjoyed the ones you have personally done, they were so informative and helpful.
Thanks!
Jeniann
