I'm trying to find a birthdate and a death date for Christen Hansen Frost on Kirkeboger - Film #0072
I have a Christen Hansen Frost christened Nov 1726 that is linked to a wife and 18 children, then I have a Christen Hansen Frost in Mar 1728. It seems that possibly all the children etc. should be linked to the 2nd Christen Hansen Frost and not the first. I'm a family history novice so the records aren't making a lot of sense to me. I'd appreciate any help I can get.

Hello, I'd like to help but keep in mind if this is a new experience in Danish research that this time period can be a challenge for various reasons (handwriting among others). I believe I see the C H Frost you are discussing in the FamilySearch tree. He is LH8W-KM7 and wife Sidse LH8W-VTM. Immediately I see that 13 of the 18 children have zero sources so that tells they need more study. Also, the mother in this family likely won't be having children when she is 46, it's possible but less likely.
If I were studying this family I would "drop down" a generation (or two) to what I know is solid ground, build the family with sources. It's good to get your feet wet with Danish research on a project that is a bit less complicated and more records exist to prove the relationships. Would you like to tell us if you are connected to one of the children and which one? One of the children, Ole LZV1-JF1 has 10 sources so I'm guessing it could be him?
Back to your original question. What information do you have that leads you to believe the children should be link to C H Frost b. 1728 and not the one b. 1726?

I am connected through Ole. The only thought I have about being connected to the 1728 CH Frost was that I thought when a child was born, if that child lived to adulthood, they wouldn't name the next child with the same name.

If you have death record for C H Frost b. 1726 that would be helpful in supporting your theory.

I have more than one family in Denmark that have named two children the same name and both of them lived to adulthood. I just thought you might like to know it did happen.
