I'm hoping someone can help translate this Danish church record.
In one instance I show Peder Christensen as Peter Pedersen's father; but I have another note that says Mariane Pedersen was unmarried, so I'm not sure if Peder Christensen is Peter's father or listed for another reason.
It's the second entry down, shown for 16 June 1874. The attached page is from: Denmark Church Records, 1484-1941 Hjørring Dronninglund Ørum 9 (1862-1878) Fødte, Konfirmerede, Viede, Døde

In the "Parents Name, Social Position, Occupation and Residence" column it lists unmarried Mariane Pedersen and "the father" Peder Christian Andersen at Ørumhede.

Hmm. Interesting. Mariane's father is Peder Christian Andersen.

Actually, Peter Pedersen's father is Peder Christian Andersen. "The father" refers to the father of the child.

Yes, I understand. In Mariane's records, Peder Christian Andersen, born 1813, is her father and her mother is Mette Marie Mortensen who died in 1857. So, I'm wondering if her father was listed as Peter Pedersen's father because she was unmarried.

There were a couple of words in the record that weren't clear, but I think it is saying that she was living at home with "the father", meaning her father not that Peder Christian Andersen was Peter Pedersen's father. That makes sense.

@Lori Field Do you have this confirmation record for Peter? https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?bsid=416855#416855,76639454

The record is saying that the unmarried Mariane Pedersen is at home with the father Peder Christian Pedersen. I believe it is referring to her father, not the child's father.
