I would like someone to translate the "Born and Baptized" information regarding his place of birth f
He has been a "brick wall" for our family and I just found this NEW information. I don't know if the indexer typed the word right or not because I can't find it on a map. It has been suggested it. may be a farm. The indexter spelled it," Fjellkestad, Christianst lan". This is in Sweden ANY information or help you cangive is appreciated!

It should be spelled Fjälkestad, and it's in Kristianstad, Sweden (see https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Fj%C3%A4lkestad_Parish,_Kristianstad,_Sweden_Genealogy).

The Clerical Survey record indicates that the family moved to "Strö". After some searching I found the family moving into Norra Strö. The "Move out Certificate" from Fjälkestad parish is here: https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/A0016684_00111#?c=&m=&s=&cv=110&xywh=1082%2C136%2C5305%2C2787 .
Also, the 2 pages following the link above, are move out certificates for the rest of the family!
I don't see any indication of the farm they moved to in Norra Strö. You will need to find them there to follow the family in the parish records.

I have found and followed Nils through the household records in Norra Strö. He is here with his family: https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/A0016675_00070#?c=&m=&s=&cv=69&xywh=40%2C1213%2C4389%2C2307 . Note that his father, Måns, dies 9 Dec 1859 and his mother, Anna, moves back to Fjälkestad in 1859. Also, note the birth mentioned of a sister to Nils, Maria born in Kaleberga, Norra Strö on 20 April 1856.
The mother, Anna, moves to here: https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0059419_00093#?c=&m=&s=&cv=92&xywh=625%2C335%2C5333%2C2636 . According to this record, she dies 21 July 1860.
According to this record Nils moves to Västra Vram in 1864 (line #1): https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0059420_00105#?c=&m=&s=&cv=104&xywh=-106%2C141%2C7945%2C4175 .
He shows up in the Clerical Survey for Västra Vram where he is a "fosterson" to Ola Larsson (line11): https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0062900_00323#?c=&m=&s=&cv=322&xywh=-242%2C317%2C6445%2C3186 .
Finally, this indicates that he moves to "Amerika" on 12 May 1869 (line #8): https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0062901_00031#?c=&m=&s=&cv=30&xywh=-360%2C682%2C8926%2C4691 .

Not to be greedy, but have you noticed a wife, Bastiste or a variation of it. There is a bible that shows aunties and uncles (half brothers) with that name. Nothing about a wife tho.

No, I meant Mans Nielson married to Anna Olofsdaughter....Here is a pic of the family Bible just to show why I'm asking. In this bible, Nils Mansson ( Nels Monson) is married to Maria Lindberg. It shows Nils brothers and sisters... documented in the sources you gave me as well. It also shows a Peter Bearstead (who is dead) as an ucncle. Just trying to figure who he might be. It looks like all the Aunties and Uncles used Nelson as a last name. Interesting.

Left side are children of Nils Monson and his wife Nettie Lindbergh. This is the nils that came to America. On the right side we are looking at living aunts and uncles (above the line) and dead ones below the line. Nels siblings are listed as Nelson. This is where you find Peter Bearsted. Who is he??? Where did that name come from??? Somebody decided it must be the name of Nels dad’s wife. But we know now his wife is Anna Olofsdaughtet. Just trying to figure what the Bearsted name is all about. 😊

The names on the left page are the children of Nils Monson and Joanna Marry Monson (JOHANNA MARIE LINDBERG)
The names on the top half of the right page are uncles and aunties alive: The Nelsons being brothers and sisters of Nils Monson and the Lindbergs are brothers and sisters of Johanna Monson.
The names on the bottom half of the right page are uncles and aunties dead: Ole Nelson (would be Nils Monson's brother) Peter Bearstead (I have no idea who this is...but people have put a "Batiste" as a wife to Mans Nielson) THIS IS THE MYSTERY MAN- just wondering if you see a Bearstead, Batiste or any variation in the swedish docs you have uncovered for me) and then Axel and Anie Lindberg(Johanna's brother and sister.
If not, I will let this go for the moment. Family traditions says he was a half brother to Nils Monson, thus the ASSUMPTION he was married to a Batiste.

Oh,OH,OH!I have been really reading all the Swedish docs the best I can (I don't read Swedish) BUT I see where ALL the children of Mans Nielson and Anna Olafsdotter are Manssons... !!!! My bible saying they are Nelsons must have been "Americanized"!!!" This is sooo cool. Not manypeople for me to share with, so you are the one. THANKYOU

I have not seen any name even close to Bearstead or Batiste. There is no Nordic name Batiste, but Batilda and Batildis are Swedish female given names, but I did not see any of those names, either.
As far as last names go, any children born in Sweden to Måns Nielsen, would be Månssons or Månsdotters and since the letter "å" is pronounced nearly as "o" in English, it would be okay to assume that the spelling of the name could have been changed to Monson. Or, alternately, the family possibly decided to keep the surname Nielson or Nelson (which is more likely once they were in the U.S.).
As far as Peter Bearstead, the name Pehr is the same as Per, Pär or Peter. Pehr Månsson is a half brother to Nils. His father is Måns Pehrsson and his mother is Anna Olasdotter. I will attach his birth record. He could be the Peter Bearstead you are looking for. I have not followed him in the records, though, so this is only a possibility.

I did. I found a family in Family Search Tree that matched the information I knew about the family and thought that since I had already done a lot of research, that I would attach a few sources.
I hope you don't mind.
I usually only attach birth records to the individual who was born, but I (generally) attach Household Records to everyone listed in the record. I don't recall if I did that in this case though. If I forgot to attach some sources that you feel should be attached, please let me know who they are and what record should be attached and I will take care of that. Or, I could send you links to the records and you could attach them.
It has been a real pleasure working on this family. I feel like I have gotten to know them a little bit!
