GOOGLE TRANSLATE
Family Search Community usage traverses world wide cultures and languages
One tool to help facilitate that is Google Translate.
Check out this link to find more info about Google Translate and how to best use it.

This can help you be more effective in working with others who speak a language you do not understand.

Google translate used to be my best friend. It’s great for pulling the words and dates from another language when you are going from like nacio quince Del enero. Born 15th of January. But be careful when you try to translate into English to Spanish.
We don’t have a Spanish Flip chart for the one on one Spiritual experience or explaining the deletion of the -lead in titles. I was working to translate this for one of the branches and thought Google was doing great. Then I had a prayerful moment and decided to call and invite my former Bishop to just go through my translations to make sure that everything was fine. I was on the section that said, “The - lead was deleted from the title Ward Temple and Family History Consultant and we are now all Ward Temple and Family History consultants in the LDSTools on your phone. That does not mean that you have been released. It just means that if your Bishop used you before as an expert in helping others he may indeed still use you again but in but in the LDS system, so that Family Search can easily send us all the same message it’s easier for all of us to have the exact same title, and it’s easier for the clerks to code the titles using a drop-down menu of approved names .”
It looked pretty good to me. But he started laughing. He said, “the phrase it chose was “You haven’t been set free (as in released from prison) and won’t be lanced or launched!”
I let him take the rest home. I’ll leave that to the pros. Hope you are smiling.

I think the most important way to start off any conversation using Google translate is to write in both languages, "Caution: I don't speak or read <fill in language> and am using Google Translate. I hope this will make sense to you".
