Do places of events make sense?
Could someone please take a look on family tree at Hulda Serafia K67Y-HRR and spouse Frans Lorents Gustafsson KN3Z-1F8 and there children and tell me if places of residence and places of births per time frames make sense. .House exam books that I find family in are in Långasjö, Kronoberg but sources keep saying Långasjö, Kalmar.

I'm not an expert on Sweden localities but it appears Långasjö has been in both counties at one time or another. On current maps Långasjö (the small village) is part of Kalmar County, as is the parish of Långasjö; Google the location to see it on a map. It is only 3 miles to the border of Kronoberg County. The FamilySearch Wiki (https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Långasjö_Parish,_Kronoberg,_Sweden_Genealogy) uses a map from 1890 and it shows the parish of Långasjö in Kronoberg County. Also, a historical map from 1832 on David Rumsey's site shows that it was in Kronoberg County which would explain why it says one thing and then on different records is says another or people are referring to its present jurisdiction and not its historical jurisdiction.

Långasjö belonged to Kronoberg county until year 1970. In 1971 in 1970's communreformen (municipality reform) it was moved to Kalmar county with Algutsboda and Hälleberga parishes.
This is a big problem Finland and in some areas in Sweden. People who have done indexing have decided to use counties of some era, in many cases it is the wrong county. In this case it is current county. Some parishes I am working with in Finland, the county has changed several times (in one area 10 times!) and they have decided to use counties which were used in 1939, so many changes before that and couple changes after that.

Thank you Heidi. All my current research is before 1900 for the most part so try to use county that would be correct for late 1700- 1900. It can be challenging for sure. A question if I may. I see one record that looks like person is moving to Denmark. Are there records similar? And is there a link to online records for Denmark? Thanks again. Deniese
