GOOGLE AS A GENEALOGICAL SEARCH ENGINE

 

Many people often simply focus on sites like Ancestry.com or FamilySearch.org for their genealogical research,

 

BUT there are many resources outside of these dedicated resources that can also be hugely helpful - and sometimes you find incredible genealogical tools in places that were never actually designed for genealogy.

 

DONT under-estimate the power of GOOGLE to help you find genealogical information.

I have used GOOGLE BOOKS to research locations and discovered a wealth of books available which were printed before 1940 which are free to view. Inside I've located original source information which varied sometimes from what the data was in my possession. I've even located children I did not know. ALL sourced.
