A list of small places in Orebro city, Sweden
I am trying to index Orebro City 1787-birth and christening records. I need a list of small places in Orebro City. I have tried following the instructions under wiki and have not had any success. Thank you Jacklynn Nelson

At the botom of the Örebro City Wiki page https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/%C3%96rebro_City,_%C3%96rebro,_Sweden_Genealogy it lists four parishes:
If you click on one of those parishes and scroll down just a little on the parish page, it'll show you a list of Place Names, i.e., smaller locations within the parish within the city. You'll have to open all four parish pages to have all the locations up on your screen, but that should be what you're looking for.

I had a quick look at the Sweden, Örebro project and I can't see how you can know you are indexing the City of Örebro. The project is for the "County" so you might get any of well over 70 parishes. I assume you're struggling with the "Hemort" or household field. I got a batch from 1781 when I experimented and I could find no way of seeing what parish my page was from so I could not get a list of farms to help decipher that 1700's handwriting. The one I got would be very tricky even for a Swedish indexer I think if they don't have a list of farms to refer to.
It would be extremely helpful to know what book the page I am working on is from and for that matter I have found at times that in a reverse situation where I have located someone by searching indexed records it can be very difficult to find the image because the source description is too vague.

Very true, @Clifford Lien! It would be nice to have more information about the record while indexing. And good thinking checking the indexing project; that's true that the county contains many more parishes. @Jacklynn Nelson, what you could do is zoom in on the place name and take a snippet (in the search bar at the bottom of your computer screen, type in snipping tool and open that up; then in the tool, click New, click and hold at the corner of the image and drag to the opposite corner of what you want included, then let go; then click File and Save As). You could then upload the image here so we can take a look; if we can figure out what the location is, then we'll also know what parish you're currently working in (IF the records within the county are split up by parish), which will help you figure out the other places in your batch.

The previous java-based indexing tool did display the DGS number, and a PDF containing the DGS numbers and the corresponding parish places and names was available through a link on the indexing instructions page. This information is still available.
If you click Batch\About Batch a pop-up window will the display the Image Name which is the DGS folder number and the specific image number. For example, the image name 004015751_00693 indicates the folder number is 4015751 and the image is 693.
You can then consult the list of DGS numbers (Film Number : Församling/Parish List) which is still available on the current Indexing Tool through the Project Instructions. A list of farms and villages in each parish is also available through the Project Instructions. Checking the Film number list for 4015751 you would see that it is for Nora Bergs parish.
