Problem finding someone through his place, location
Hello, first of all very nice work, thank you for all information provided!
I cant seem to be ale to search on the location, place of birth death etc. with a word not very specific for location. For example i have found one of my ancestors with place of birth Souvermez, Turkey. So i would like to find who else have wrote the same place. Unfortunately Suvermez can be written only like " Suvermez, Turkey" and the system cannot accept "Souvermez" but by this way i cant find the specific person, and i can only find them if i dont have an exact location but exact surname. So it not very helpful if i want to use a name of place not existing on your location titles. For example some ancestors of mine come from Turkey on the previous Pontic Regions called Karmout or Kermout or Karmud or Kermud today Kocapinar Koyu, but i cant search with words such as Kermud. Is it possible to indicate me how i can search with possible different words for location not being so exact? or can you fix this issue?

@IoannisAkritidis - We have reviewed your concern and would advise you to search by the country of Turkey first. There are not many records available yet in Turkey in the Catalog but they are working on adding more over time. You may want to search for records (Search tab - Records) or other Search options other than the catalog as you may find things there since they are separate databases from the Catalog. Also, some records were digitized or scanned at the state or county level and not the town or village so they can only be found at those levels. Hopefully this helps with this search as well as future searches. Check back to see what gets added to the Catalog in the future.
