misleading information on merge analysis page
Information on the merge analysis page doesn't match information on the change log history. A person who started with a lifespan of 1803-1845 on the change log now shows a lifespan of 1818-1879 on the merge analysis page. Both sides match so it looks like a good merge when in reality, it is not. I find no history of the lifespan changes on the change log through merge or edit. The change log and merge analysis page are confusing to me.
Very minute change details need to be visible on both change log and merge analysis page

To see where the problem is, you will need to post the IDs of the profiles involved. Then someone can explain in detail the confusing information you are seeing.
