Open for new testers or not?
An attempt to sign up as a CET tester closes and returns me to the page saying I'll be considered when it is open to new members.
Really? You just posted that it was open to all a couple of days ago.

Thank you for your interest in the CET initiative at FamilySearch. You will receive periodic updates about our progress as development continues.
The group was made public earlier this week when the lab experiment was opened. Anyone can now apply for access, but all who apply cannot be accepted at this early stage.
Keep in mind that we are gradually inviting testers based on the needs of the software development process. This phased approach ensures our engineers can refine the tool and handle the growing number of users effectively.
Please be patient as we continue to expand access. Thank you again for reaching out. We're excited about the many benefits this tool will offer and look forward to sharing it with you.

The same boilerplate I already saw.

Áine,
I appreciate your interest in the new feature. We asked people who have an interest in becoming early access testers to fill out a brief survey letting us know a little about them and they will be considered as candidates for testing as we scale up the system.
We did not open the use of the new feature to all users. We will be bringing new users onto the system in groups as part of the development and testing of the new feature.
I am unaware of any post on this community that claimed it was open to all users. If you can indicate where you saw such a post I'll make sure it is corrected.Robert Kehrer, sr product manager

I tried to fill out the survey. It just sends me round in circles back to fill it out again. I'm not a novice at testing for FamilySearch or other genealogical providers.
And BTW the announcement says nothing about you'll only let admit a few testers. https://community.familysearch.org/en/discussion/168699/announcing-new-familysearch-labs-experiment#latest

Áine,
I can confirm for you that your application to be an early access tester was successfully received. In a couple days we will implement a new popup which appears following the user clicking the "Submit" button. This popup will indicate to them that the submission was successfully received.

Thanks, Robert. Maybe the form should have had the popup installed before the release? Would have saved frustration.
