Urdorf ZH - Bevölkerungsverzeichnis - 1671 - Huber & Sidler - Heinrich & Catharina
Fourth document from the end:
Not sure if this will add anything to our search.

A very useful document - it helped to supplement and clarify a few issues on Geneal-Forum … but also opened a new question.
There is the missing marriage entry of Hans Jakob Huber and Cleophea Lenk … but there is a fitting (year and parish) marriage with a Cleophea Urmi(!). Consequently it would be of interest to check (all Mettmenstetten) …
- the original marriage record 10 Jan 1655, and
- baptisms Cathrina (1655 or later), Adelheit (about 1660) and Hans (about 1662).
Best regards for now - (no name, in order to not have it deleted)

I'm sorry but I am not following you. I see Heinrich Huber and Catharina Sidler's children as Anna, Hans and Heinrich. What is written to the left of their names is unknown to me. Heinrich and Catharina were married in 1661.
Was Heinrich married before on 10 Jan 1655? Not sure who you are talking about in this regard and don't know who these people are. Sorry to be so thick.
baptisms Cathrina (1655 or later), Adelheit (about 1660) and Hans (about 1662?

Did you follow the link I had provided? This post is not about Heinrich (& Catharina Sidler) but his brother Hans Jakob - married to a Cleophea - Lenk or Urmi?? I wanted to sort this out first.
There is nothing new for Heinrich and Catharina: the sentence to the left states Seind auch zue Mettmenstädten getauft worden (have been baptised in Mettmenstetten) - applies to Anna and Hans (which we knew already). The statement, that they moved from Mettmenstetten to Urdorf in 1665 applies to all 3 families.
So the open question is about the name of the mother of Cathrina, Adelheit and Hans (children of Hans Jakob).

Here they are:
I included what the index thinks the word is. Tough surname. Could be Anna Leüssin.

Thank you very much for the first two files (see below) - unfortunately the third image is just the first one (Cathrina) again.
The first two images confirm my suspicion, however - the Bevölkerungsverzeichnis (mother Cleophea Lenk or Lienk) is not correct: the mother is Cleve Urmi! This might be forgivable: the family moved to Urdorf in 1665 and moved away again to Windisch in 1678; Hans Jakob's wife was not really known, possibly Lenk (or similar) was used as nickname. Whilst I have never heard this before - Cleve might be an abbreviation for Cleophea.
It nevertheless would be interesting to also see the baptismal entry of Hans 1662.

This shows you can't help your wife and do FamilyHistory at the same time without making mistakes. It is now posted for you. KG

Thank you - will come back to this later.

I have now summarized the problem on Geneal-Forum - with snippets of all relevant documents. Of Cleophea Urmi's baptism 1629 I only had the low resolution version. It would be nice if you could send me film 008014288 / page 86 in original resolution, to replace what we have online now.
This is proving that the Bevölkerungsverzeichnis is wrong: Hans Jakob Huber's wife is Cleophea Urmi - not Lenk (or similar).
