Mettmenstetten ZH - marriage - 1661 - Kleiner & Sidler - Jakob & Katharina

That is a complicated situation - I have asked for help on Geneal-Forum.

Yes, I read the Forum and copied it to Katharina's page. Looks very complex.
Jacob Kleiner's father is Oswald. This is important because there is nothing on Jacob Kleiner in FS. Jakob's father, Oswald was a Kirchenmeyer, (administrator of church farm property). His wife is Dorothea Funk. Married 26 Feb 1623, Mettmenstetten, ZH. He died 29 April 1666.
Cathrj Sÿdlerin FS ID KZLW-HT9? She is not in my direct line. Thanks for taking this on!! KG

Olivier has posted a plausible interpretation of the marriage entry 144: the bride was not a Cathrin Sidler but (corrected) a Cathrin Huber … so Jacob Kleiner is not Cathrin Sidler's husband! Instead "your" Cathrin Sidler got married to Heini Huber (entry 145) if we stick to the date.
Details (in German) see Geneal-Forum.

I think we need more info. I will check the BV's. Can't locate Katharina in Ottenbach or in Mettmenstetten. Is Mettmenstetten the same as Aeugst am Albis? Kent

According to Billeter Cathrin was bapt. 31.07.1631, her younger siblings were bapt. in Ottenbach. I assume you have checked this date in Ottenbach.
Mettmenstettem and Aeugst am Albis lie on different sides of the Albis ridge - definitely not the same ;-).

Yes, her birth is the first document here:
https://www.gatheringgardiners.com/2020/01/katharina-sidler-1631.html
FS has Katharina born 1634 and married 16 October 1661 and the couple have two children. They have Katharina and Heinrich bearing children in Aeugst am Albis. FS has no birth, or death for her husband Heinrich, just their marriage. Their second child Hans has a birth witness named Jacob Kleiner. BV's have been searched in Ottenbach and Mettmenstetten (1670) (lots of Kleiner names) and Aeugst am Albis. No Katharina but I will look again. If we could find a BV with Katharina's name, that would verify things one way or another. Heinrich and Katharina's children are posted on Katharina's page.

Hmmm …
- Did you check Ottenbach baptisms for a Cathrin in 1634? On the other hand - if only a year is given, this will usually be just a guess and might be off.
- Anna bapt. 10.08.1662 was "progenita", i.e. received prior to marriage - just.
- There is also an Anna bapt. 12.11.1662 - also "progenita" - 13 months after marriage???
- Places of residence given are "Obermet" and "Undermet" - which I assume to stand for Obermettmenstetten and Undermettmenstetten - why would they attend Aeugst am Albis - by tradition (families from there)?
- You got the legends to the baptisms 1662 and 1664 mixed up.

After comparing the handwriting of these two pages baptismal register with the Mettmenstetten marriage register, I assume these pages are also from Mettmenstetten - not Aeugst an Albis. Could you check, please?

- Sorry - my mistake: should read "primogenita" = firstborn.

This was taken from the Familytree (found that) - but have you checked the baptismal register?

FS has no BVs for these towns.
