Swedish Translation Request for Nils Jönsson in Mantal records
I found my ancestor Nils Jönsson (LH1S-ZTS) in the 1765 tax records in Bjällerup Parish in Malmöhus. After his name the letter H appears. Does this mean that both him and his wife are living there? It appears that there is only one taxable person if I am reading it right. There are remarks to the far right of the page that I would like to have translated. I am also trying to find the death for his wife, Anna Andersdotter (M5L9-V55). Would you have any suggestions?

The "h" probably means "hustru = wife". Unfortunately, some of the note on the right is lost in the binding, but if you look on the facing page near the bottom is a note that looks about the same - "utfattig och sjuklig = extremely poor and sickly".
I believe the note for Nils Jönsson says the same thing but includes "h. utfa[ttig] och siuklig = wife? extremely poor and sickly".
As for Anna Andersdotter's death, ArkivDigital has a searchable database "Death Index, parts of Sweden" (under the Index Search) which includes Bjällerup 1750-1799. I looked in that index but was not able to find an Anna Andersdotter who was born about 1705. You might try searching other parishes in that Death Index.

If we look at Nils & Anna's wedding record we can see that Nils Jönsson is his name and that Anna was a widow, they lived in Stora Bjällerup. This might be Anna's death record. Her name is written as Anna Nils Jöns, if i read it correctly it says that she was buried on the 13th of November and died on the 9th November 1885 at the age of 78, that would mean that her birth year would be around 1706-1708. I can't read the birth records from those years!

The link won't open for me. Is it in the mantal records or death records?
Thanks for going the extra mile!

Hi!
The death record is in Bjällerup C:1 picture 289.
If you can't open the links it's most likely that you are blocking popups.
