Tedious Way to Link to the First Person in FG Tree
Even when the admin picks the starting person in the FG tree for the group member, the member sees a message like this:
"Tree Options
Starting person in this tree:
This person appears in the root position when I view this group tree.
Not Selected SELECT
VIEW TREE"
What a bad message! Why not say to the person, "This is a suggestion for YOU for YOUR starting person"?? Instead, the message reads something about "This person"!! It's very unfriendly.

I wanted to set my father as the starting person, but everyone was grayed out except me.

The starting person is meant to be your own profile found in the group tree, not a common ancestor or parent. Maybe it just hasn't been explained clearly enough in the instructions.

Thank you for suggesting this change. The initial statement for the linking to your start person has been changed. It now looks like this:
