Danish Lægdsruller transfer
Hello again,
I am trying to follow the path of Rasmus Jorgensen's son, Peder Larsen Rasmussen, back through the Svendborg Lægdsruller. I get to 1844 Skrøbelev, when he is lined out, however, the typical transfer notation is not seen, but rather "S.T.M.R.N 2944". (see entry 23/15 right page).
My guess is he should be in the København Lægdsrulle, but which one?
Is there any significance to the other numbers written within the entry?
Can anyone transcribe what is written?
My appreciation and thanks, Steve

This list of abbreviations used in the Army Levying Rolls is indispensable in understanding the Denmark military records:
.The notation under Peder Larsen Rasmusen's name is: "til St. R. No. 2944 = to Stadens Rulle No. 2944". Figuring that he had to have moved around 1846, I had to look through several of the Rolls before I came to one that had a soldier with the number 2944. That record is in the 1847 Hovedrulle here:
.Then going back to your original record, I see that he had gone to Copenhagen with an "A.P. = amtspas (county passport)" on 17 January 1838 [see the Abbreviations list]. The amtspas allowed him to move to Copenhagen but, for some reason about which I am not clear, he wasn't recorded there until the 1847 Hovedrulle. It then says something about "Daniel Jørgensen in Asmose(?)" but I am not sure what it means.
Under his name in the 1847 Hovedrulle record is the notation "Afsked Sess. 1851 = discharged (during the) 1851 Session".
