Could this boy, Jens Nielsen Hansen, be the son of the couple married a year later?
I can't read the notes in the marriage record to see if he is named. https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QGDC-RSPD, I think the age of the mother matches. https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/sources/MKQT-16M

This Jens Nielsen Hansen is the illegitimate son of 28 year old Mette Marie Nielsen who is the daughter of the widow Niels Sørensen. The father is Hans Hansen of Særslev parish. That matches the information in the marriage so yes I think it is one family.

Hi Becca,
one way to figure out this sort of problem is to check the census. Denmark has a really wonderful set of censuses. they can be found at: http://ddd.dda.dk/
You can also find them quickly along with the parish registers at https://www.danishfamilysearch.com/ (not to be confused with FamilySearch.)
You can also find them, indexed on MyHeritage.
The 1870 census should include this family and you should be able to solve the problem.

Jens Nielsen Hansen's birth record lists him as being born on 9 Dec 1868, baptized at home by his father on 13 Dec 1868, and died before the baptism could be presented at church. He is listed as the child of Mette Marie Nielsen (living with her father, the cottager Niels Sørensen in Kattebjerg). She (the mother) is 28 years old and served, before the delivery, in the household of farmer Jens Jørgensen in Maderup, Særslev parish. The note states that the father of the child was given as the bachelor Hans Hansen in Kosterslev, Særslev parish.
The marriage record does not state whether the couple already has any children. The record states that Hans Hansen (age 30, bachelor, cottager, Kosterslev, born in Ringe in Næraa parish) and Mette Marie Nielsen (age 28 1/2, unmarried, serving in Kosterslev, born in Bogense) were married in the [Særslev] church on 11 Dec 1869. The witnesses were the farmer Jesper Nielsen in Kosterslev and the carpenter and cottager Niels Sørensen of Haarslev. The first proclamation was made on 21 Nov. The groom was vaccinated on 26 June 1841 by Larsen, and the bride was vaccinated on 21 August 1841 by Larsen. See register D69-28 and C119-14.
It is definitely possible that Jens Nielsen Hansen is a son of the couple who were married a year later. There is no mention of them having already had children before the marriage, but that could also be because the child died in infancy. The information matches well though.

Thank you! This is very helpful! It looks like it is a match because this is the family I am working with and I know that Mette's father is Niels Sorensen. https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/MKQT-16M
The next question I would have is where is Ringe In Næraa? We don't have any information on Hans Hansen's birth place or parents. But there is a record hint but it is a child being born in Særslev. Could this be the same place as Ringe in Næraa?

Each of the words that are in blue in my comment are hyperlinked; when you click on the blue words "Ringe in Næraa parish" in my comment above, it takes you to the Nørre Nærå Parish, Odense, Denmark page on the FamilySearch Wiki. That page lists various smaller locations, including Ringe, that are included within the parish. So the parish you would look for Hans Hansen's birth record would be Nørre Nærå. Særslev is a separate parish.

It also looks like that image of the birth hint has Ringe on it. https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-L9Z6-LH58?personaUrl=%2Fark%3A%2F61903%2F1%3A1%3AQGDC-5VNQ

Okay. So I found these two records. They seem to have the same information on them. Is one just a duplicate copy of the other. One of them has the indexed locality as Nørre Nærå, but the other doesn't though I'm thinking that could be wrong.

I think this is the right confirmation because the vaccination date seems to be correct. But there are three different Hans Hansen in the index with the same vaccination date. From the 1901 census it says he was born in 19 Ocdt 1839. Is that reliable? If so that would help us here. One of the Hans is born on 19 Oct 1839. https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-L9ZX-93NZ?cc=2078555&personaUrl=%2Fark%3A%2F61903%2F1%3A1%3AQGD6-98HH

You are correct that the image of the birth hint has the word Ringe in it; it states that Hans Hansen's mother, Anne Hansdatter, is a daughter of the farmer Hans H???sen in Ringe. (Anne is listed as having served for 10 months? in the household of Hans Erichsen in Slagttrup [might be supposed to be Stagstrup].)
As for the two potential duplicates, they are both records of the same birth, but one record is from Nørre Næraa parish and the other record is from Særslev parish. They list mostly the same information. The child, Hans Hansen, was baptized in Næraa church and is listed as a slegfredbarn, meaning a child born before marriage; the father of the child is proclaimed as the bachelor Hans Nielsen, a farmer serving in the household of Anders Larsen in Kasterslev.
And yes, the confirmation record you have ahold of (entry 6 on that page) is the correct one. Not only do the child's and parents' names match, but so does the birth date and place, baptismal date, and vaccination date. There is only one Hans Hansen born on that date in that parish, and he has the same vaccination date, so it is the same child.
