Removed my husband after he accepted the request.
I emailed my husband so we could see how it worked. He was accepted. I just rechecked a week later, and he has been removed from the accepted list and now is listed as Invite. I haven't sent out others until I find this works for him.

Check your member list to see if your husband shows up there:
The Invite lists all individuals in the tree and should show if a profile in the tree already has a user associated with it.
When you find your husband's name on the list, does it show the blue checked circle with Group Member to the right? That means he is already a member of the group.
It is possible to have two copies of your husband in the tree (maybe he made a copy of his own profile) and that second copy would show an INVITE link. If that is the case, you will want to Merge both copies of him into one so that you retain all the memories and information associated with both of them.
