Help in correcting record.
I don't know the process really I have found another record that is wrong, in my opinion.
I'm just wondering if I report an error and it really is an error, does it eventually get fixed. Just wondering the process.
Here is my current finding.
When you look at the following below FS link record it is listed as Duble. However when you look at the original on Ancestry It is clearly the same record with all the names listed and ages. But it is clearly Dyble. This obviously does create some confusion particular in your Source Linker well for me anyway.
Below I have included the attachment of the original record and the FS link.
I note that there appears to be two wives for John S. Dyble. But looking at the dates etc. This does appear to be true. Of course the fact that a son is also called John S. Dyble, I think adds to the confusion. In either case I think the correct name is Dyble, not Duble as shown in the link.

PS I assume the incorrect reading come from outside you but Ancestry does have it right I think. I say this in part because these DB/Emaily things people can get wrong impressions. The one thing I don't want to be is critical of anyone on these things. I may be overly cautious. But we are all trying to achieve the same goals. Accurate info. ... um again Regards.

I agree that it is clearly Dyble on the image.
FamilySearch ("FS") gets its record transcripts for England & Wales censuses from FindMyPast ("FMP"). I do not believe there is any mechanism for reporting an error at the FS end but you can at the FMP end if you have a subscription. FMP will normally accept or reject your correction within a couple of weeks.
Assuming that your correction is accepted, it is then unclear how long it will take for the correction to filter through to FS. It seems that the records are updated but only at long intervals as can be seen as follows:

Very informative thank you. Its too bad there is not a more aggressive plan to correct things but there you are.
