Swedish translation request, Husförhörslängder 1793 - 1800, Österslövs kyrkoarkiv
Hej, and hello to all.
I am currently researching my ancestors, Per Svensson and Karna Trulsdotter of Österslöf No. 34, Kristianstads län. I would really appreciate some expert help understanding a few of the words on their record in the Husförhörslängder 1793 - 1800.
I have included screenshots of the page, which may be clear enough without the actual record.
The citation for the page in the FamilySearch record set is:
"Sweden, Kristianstad Church Records, 1585-1910; index 1646-1860," images, FamilySearch
: 22 May 2014), Österslövs församling > A I Husförhörslängder >
6, 1793-1800 > image 44 of 146; Landsarkivet, Lund (Sweden Regional
Archives, Lund).
I believe what I am seeing are the names of Per Svensson, his wife Karna Trulsdotter, their son Sven, and their daughter Truen.
I believe the other two women listed are Per's mother Bengta Trulsdotter, and Hanna Trulsdotter, who is probably his mother's sister.
Here are my questions:
- what do the words/notations mean, that are given right before the names of the adults? Does it say "mod." in front of Bengta's name (as in "moder")?
- can anyone make out the priest's note in the last column beside Per Svensson's name? It looks like maybe "ogift"?
- can anyone make out the priest's note in the last column beside Hanna Trulsdotter's name? Something like "...lmop Jöns...ing..ind"?
Thanks very much for any help you can offer! 💐

The words give their "titles" or position in the household. I see Husm[an] = "head of household" for Per, and hust[ru] = "wife" for Karna. I can't decipher the first part for the other two appearances, it looks like id_s and might be an abbreviation. The following word for Bengta is mod[er] = "mother".

I agree that it is ogift = unmarried. Probably an earlier remark that was was stroken when Per married Karna.

I can't read that.
The name of the last woman seems also to be Karma, not Hanna.
