Congratulations!
Congratulations on completing the transition to the new Person pages. Thanks for all the difficult work your teams put in that has given us such a great website to use.

Did I miss the announcement that the old page was due to disappear from today / yesterday? There have been a large amount of posts regarding retaining the old version, which I assume has been triggered by users being made aware the demise was imminent. I can't find the announcement here or on the Blog, so perhaps someone could provide me with the link.
In response to the comments of Gordon and David, I'm certainly not congratulating anybody over this. I had completely switched to the new version over the last week, but am still finding it difficult to adapt to the layout and different fonts.
I have never bothered with tagging (probably my loss), so this is certainly no advantage to me, but I now have to either use Ctrl - to get all of a large family on the screen, or continue using the much criticised "scroll, scroll, scroll" action. The problem with reducing the display is that I then struggle to read the Reason statements, which now appear in a reduced font size.
True, many improvements have been made, but still those ghastly red / blue portrait icons remain and Edit buttons that seem totally disconnected from the items to which they apply. I know this is a matter of preference (Gordon has says he is happy with the latter feature as well as the new position for the Marriage details), but I still prefer the old presentation of the page and am still finding it difficult to adapt.
Whilst my lack of IT / programming knowledge means it is difficult for me to dispute the "necessity" for the change (features that are no longer supported and so had to go, etc.) it does confuse me as to how other websites are able to continue using "outdated technology" and still show no signs of updating their pages.
As soon as I finish typing, I'll probably find the "official announcement" about the complete disappearance of the "old version", but am very sad to lose something which I was at so much ease in using. Still, at least the new design is nowhere near as bad as the Record page, which - for census records, at least - must represent the worst feature on the whole FamilySearch site.
(Yes, I am aware of the Announcement at https://community.familysearch.org/en/discussion/137909/old-person-page-availability-and-feedback#latest but did expect another update just beforehand.)
