Preview in New Pedigree

In the old pedigree, clicking on a name produced a preview popup near the name and clicking outside the preview closed it at the same location in the pedigree. In the new pedigree, clicking on a name produces a popup on the right side of the screen. To close the popup, one clicks on the X. So far so good, but then the pedigree zooms to the beginning, losing the place where one is working. Is it not possible to close the popup and still stay at the point one was working in the pedigree?

@FawnBMorgan, this was a long-standing issue that we were waiting on another team to address. The fix actually came through the day after you asked the question, so the unnecessary re-centering should be fixed. Enjoy.
