Recherche du mariage de Hubert Vigneault et Emma Descôteaux
Bonjour,

I have not found the marriage, but I did find something interesting. George Vigneault in 1881 and 1891 census, lived as a "lodger" with Eugene Poirier and Delima Vigneau in St. Celestin, Nicolet. In 1881, George was 4 months old at the time of the census. Eugene Poirier married Delima Vigneau 10 oct 1876 in St. Leonard D'Aston. Delima is the daughter of Olivier Vigneau and Marguerite Noel. I found a baptism record for Marie Delima Vigneau, born 17 feb 1852 in St. Gregoire le Grand, to Olivier Vigneau and Marguerite Noel. I also found these parents had a son, Hubert Vigneau born 2 nov 1853 in St. Celestin, Nicolet.
It appears George Vigneau lived since he was an infant with his aunt, Delima Vigneau and her husband, Eugene Poirier. It does not appear they had other children.
In his marriage to Eva Gaudet in 1899, the record states he is the son of Hubert Vigneau and (deceased) Emma Descoteaux. It further lists his uncle, Eugene Poirier, as being at the marriage. Hubert lived in the US at the time of George's marriage.
Therefore, I believe the parents of Hubert Vigneau are Olivier Vigneau and Marguerite Noel. Olivier Vigneau married Marguerite Noel 17 oct 1837 in St. Gregoire le Grand.
Moise Lefebvre-Descoteaux married Marie Delina Demers 27 aug 1850 in St. Jean Chrysostome, Levis, Quebec. Moise died in Amesbury, Massachusetts 14 dec 1893; his parents were Joseph Descoteau and Theotiste Beaulieu (according to his death record and marriage record). He lived on Poplar St in Amesbury at the time. Delina/Delima died 25 may 1903 in Amesbury, Massachusetts. She was daughter of Jacques Demers and Angelique Gobeil. Her death record states she died at 9 Monroe St., Amesbury. I believe Delima was born 10 jan 1832 in St. Jean Chrysostome. I believe Moise was born 14 may 1830 in St. Gregoire le Grand, Nicolet.
I would be happy to provide further information if that would be helpful.
