Parents and grandparents of Olof Svenson, GQFG-DCY, and Catarina Sommar, GQFG-NWZ
Could you please help me? I am looking for the parents (and grandparents, if that is not pushing your volunteerism too far!) for the above referenced people. Olof Svenson, GQFG-DCY, was born on 15 May Almeboda, Kronoberg Sweden, and died on 6 November 1844 in Karlskrona, Bleking Sweden, he was the husband of Catarina Sommar, GQFG-NWZ, born in 1775 in Almeboda, Kronoberg Sweden, deceased.
They were the parents of Sophie (Sophia) Charlotte Svenson, MQLQ-RS3, born 26 December 1822 in Karlskrona, Blekinge, Sweden, and died on 22 May 1870 in Skeppsholmen, Stockholm, Sweden. She was the mother of Axel Eherinfried Steinbach, L2LK-NXQ, 1848-1910, who was definitely my great grandfather.
I have already exhausted the most obvious records on FamilySearch and Ancestry, They should be listed as sources in my tree, James Swift Myers, LRSF-BPP, but I have not gotten beyond Olof and Catarina in any of them. I can not read, understand, or translate any hand written records that may exist, so if you find any, I would appreciate a translation of the pertinent facts. I know this is asking a lot, but tracing the female side of the line seems to be a lot more difficult than tracing the male side. Thank you so much for any help you might be able to give me!
