Come in and see a new group: Family History Community Connections
Do you like to teach family history, connect with others in your local community, or want to learn from others who do? Building a family history and genealogy community is about giving back and connecting with others. Whether you regularly work within your local community, or are wanting to reach out, but aren't sure how, this group is a place for friends to talk with each other on how to be involved in their community through family history work.
Please be aware that we have people in this group from across the world who are not members of the church. We are excited to learn from each other, inspire each other, and build a toolbox of resources to help everyone as family history unites community. See you there!

@Heather R Jacobs Three guesses where I'm headed to sign up as soon as I say "Thanks!" We feel strongly in our stake about this, and have built a wonderful partnership with the local genealogical society and particularly our 4-county library system which we assisted in gaining FamilySearch Affiliate Library status just over a year ago. Some of their staff have presented at our last (which may really BE our last) family history discovery day, and we've recently been invited to teach classes at the main library and one of the branches that they're hosting regularly now. It's a wonderful community effort, so this was a very welcome surprise to see first thing this morning in my email box. Many thanks to whoever put this idea together! The potential win-win dividends from such efforts are tremendous, as we've been finding out locally!

@Chris Schmink We are so thrilled to learn about all that your stake has been doing, and I know that many people in your community are thankful for your relationship with them. Thank you so much for your words of support. We look forward to hearing from you in the group.
