If anyone has any information on this family it would be welcome. I believe he was a tobacconist in Cork city. Thanks, Francis.

Could you please give some more information? Do you have PIDs from their profiles in the FamilySearch FamilyTree? What years were they alive?
Assuming you are referring to Cork in Ireland, then my advice for the period 1864-1920 would be to look at the official website for civil registration: https://irishgenealogy.ie/ and the National Archives, which has the 1901 and 1911 censuses: https://genealogy.nationalarchives.ie/
For pre-1864, you'd be looking for Catholic church records, available at Ancestry.com and FindMyPast.
This is a very quick summary, but hopefully will point you in the right direction.

Hi and thanks for your reply. Luke Pritty MZK4234 married Susanna Groves - Ross, Cork, Ireland in 1763.
Sources for Luke=ffolliott/Hibernian Chronicle reported his death 10 February 1785 "near the Exchange".
For Susanna Registry of Deeds/Dublin/Abstracts of Wills Vol III 1785-1832. Casey Collection Indexes 1545-1960. She may also have married again to Wm.Kearns in 1787 (Casey).
There were three children William, Marlin Ann and Sarah. William married Elizabeth Kearns on 18 June 1795. Her birth was about 1780. Her father was William Kearns 1741-1819 Master Builder. Her mother was Jane Plaince 1741-1786. Marlin married William Harris on 3 April 1786 "with £3000" He was a Cooper. Source Cork Evening Post. Sarah was born about 1775-about 1863 Ref:9JH6-RRT and married Samuel Andrew Hobbs 1773-1829 Ref:9JH6-RRP Tallow Chandler, Cork city.
I have details of the descendants of Sarah and Samuel Andrew.
Best wishes, Francis.

You are very lucky that there were urban and well-off, and thus appear in newspapers and registry of deeds. Most rural Catholic families cannot be traced back before 1828/29.
It seems that have relied on the "Casey Collection" as an index of the Registry of Deeds, rather than looking at the original documents. See here: https://www.irishdeedsindex.net/index.php for more information about and indexes of the Registry of Deeds. The images of the original deeds are available at FamilySearch.
If you do not have copies of the newspaper articles that you refer to, have a look at the British Newspaper Archive: https://www.britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk/

Thank you. The Pritty,Hobbs,Harris, Kearns families were Church of Ireland and associated with St.Nicholas' church, near Sullivan's Quay, Cork city. William Hobbs, one of the sons of Sarah and Samuel Andrew became a prominent solicitor, but he is buried at St.Finnbar's in contrast!
Thanks again, Francis.
