Hello Group members,

I have discovered an English ancestor went to France, married a french man and had 3 children, then returned to England but without her husband. I have a birth record for one of the children in French and there are a few words I am having trouble transcribing and therefore translating. If anyone would be kind enough to assist, please? Copy attached.

I don't think so: the whole family was Protestant.

You will therefore have difficulty finding sources specific to this religion. However, there are a lot of resources out there that can probably give you direction.

It was Louis who was baptised the 4 october, not the mother.

He was baptized 1 mois after his birth.

He was born in Batignolles.
