Thank you, Zorana. All my Bunjevci ancestors stop about the time they emigrated from Dalmatia and Lika to Bačka.
Where is your brick wall?

Is there something I could help you search for?
I literally can't find anything about my GGGfather. There's one match that's like 99% him, but after that nothing.
He went to US, came back & went again. All I could find is that first possible match. If he died at sea there should be something about his burial, right?
It's like he never existed at all. Beyond that one entering.

Hi Zorana,
I'm trying to find birth information for my great grandfather, Gjuro Rukavina who was born around Dec 28, 1887 in Kozarice. I've heard this is a common name which might make it difficult to find specific records. I can find information on his immigration to the United States in 1907 and US census information in which he is included but nothing before that while he lived in Croatia. Thank you for any help you can provide!

Hi :)
I'm sorry but I can't help you. Our documents are not online for most part. Or behind a paywall. Myheritage has decent amount of 1) users and 2) records but for me personally it's not worth the price but.... Maybe there's someone willing to search for you there and I can verify information.
For example. His first name, I'm 99% sure, was Đuro before he emigrated.
If I were you, I would do a bit of research about your last name (or at least his last name) because you guys are kinda big deal.
Also, your ancestor lived like an hour drive from mine. This part was heavily hit by few wars and a lot of records got lost... But I'm also thinking that, since it's free and anyone can do it in person, that you maybe should reach out to local church and ask could they send you scanned documents.
If you decide to do that, I can help you draft a message (in English ofc, but with what you should include and where to send it).
Anyway. I'm sorry I can't help... But if you ever need a translator or something - PM me.

I wasn't able to find anything after his entry point. Are you sure you have right information about him?

Thanks for looking!
Sorry for the naivete but why are the Rukavina's a big deal? I don't know much and couldn't find a whole lot of mention online. Is there a good reference website site to learn about the family history?

@AdamKnox2 We actually have a lot of Croatian church records available on FamilySearch for free. The nearest parish for Kozarice was Lipovljani, and you can search that parish's books here.
