Family of Andrei Saveljeff from Karelia

Hi. I'm looking for more information about my great grandfather Andrei Saveljeff, born 15 Dec 1902 in Ahvenjärvi, Maaselkä, Aunus, Karelia, Finland which is now Ostrech'ye, Republic of Karelia, Russia. He said he was born 1902 but may have lied about his age to enter the military, so may have been born in 1903 or 1904.

His parents are Pjotr Saveljeff and Alexandra Sokolov. Some of his siblings are Jaako, Pentti, Maria, and Olga. He had other siblings but I don't know their names.

I would like to know where I can find records for Andrei and his family. Their religion was Orthodox.

anyone born before 1917 would be listed in church metric books for local parish, but many of these books were lost. As far as I understand Chobin/Chopin/Chebino is where the church for this area is/was but I am not finding any metric books for it. The only useful reference is someone's notes from 1920 census records here:

So apparently in Chebino there were two Saveliev (Савельев) families in 1920 and in Ostechye none.

Р-122, оп. 1, д. 43/358 is a reference to Karelia archive (www rkna ru) file, I don't think it's available online

I've never dealt with Karelian archives, chances are they will respond to an email request. Russian archives are a complete mystery region by region ranging from "full index of documents available online and an option to order a copy particular one you need that you get in a week" to "minimal info on documents available and 30 days to send a response 'We don't do genealogy requests due to high load, please submit your query on 1st of Jan 2022 and wait until it's fulfilled later that year, if at all'"

Thank you so much for your reply Igor. It's useful to know there were no Saveljeffs/Savelievs in Ostrech'ye in 1920. Those Chebino Savelievs could be my family as it is not far away from Ostrech'ye and even though Andrei was born there in 1903 his family may have moved to Chebino by 1920.

There is a good chance Andrei Saveljeff was in Finland by 1920 as he went to Finland to escape being conscripted into the Red Army. He volunteered at Murmansk in 1918 as part of the Karelian Regiment (British) and after that escaped to Finland.

I think my next step is to send an email to the Karelia Archive and see if they have any information.
