MIRACLES DO HAPPEN!! and you can be part of one.
MIRACLES DO HAPPEN!! and you can be part of one.
The Family Bible Preservation Project - with the work of all of its many volunteers
has uploaded and tagged nearly 20,000 records using FamilySearch Memories.
The records include such things as Bible Records, Samplers, Obituaries and more.
The descendants of the orignal owners of these items can now take advantage of the genealogical information in such items - some of which was never known to exist by the family.
GOD BLESS all of those volunteers who have made this miracle possible.
And to any of you who have not yet participated - but want o be part of a miracle - we welcome you!! We have thousands more to process.

Dennis J Yancey -
1) I see where one can search the Memories section of the FamilyTree function and that there are Boolean qualifiers. However, not even they help me pare down some of my searches. I have 2 main search sticking points whenever I do these kinds of searches (and in general, not just here).
A) The surname "Lord". As you can imagine, I get 100s of hits and some are even the surname! But most that I have to wade through are religious, as in "Lord and savior", and those with a British title, as in "Lord Whosit".
B) A surname that doubles for a popular given name, as in "Johann Jost Frantz". Again, many, many hits, mostly with the given name of Frantz.
Do you have any search tips for me so that I can circumvent the flood of undesired hits?
2) My mother nearly named me Yancey as a given name. It would have been problematic as a child (eeew! too different!), but nice as an adult (so unique!).
Thank you for your time.
