🔔 Tips and Tricks for the New FamilySearch Community

Welcome to the new FamilySearch Community platform! It will take us all time to figure out the ins and outs of the community, and the group pages, so here are a few things to help you.

1. You must join the group in order to create a discussion (ask a question) and to comment (answer). Click Join at near the top of the group.
2. The left-navigation panel will be a great help to you, particularly My Feeds and Groups.
3. You may want to bookmark this group on your web browser.
4. Group Resource links are located along the top of the each group home page. Scroll sideways to see all the helpful links and resources.
5. To private message people, click the envelope icon at the top right corner of the page.
6. Currently you will not get notifications of discussions unless you created the discussion, you were tagged, or you commented in a discussion.
   1. To receive notifications for these: Click the Profile (avatar) icon at the top right corner, click Edit Profile, and  click Notification Preferences. Select what you want, and click Save Preferences.
