It would be maybe easier to find some information from the past, if you know that the name of Usti nad Orlici was Wildenschwert in the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy.
There are some information on the Wikipedia, but I do not know how correct they are.

Any tips like this are most appreciated. When I try to use the dropdown in Family Search there are just so many options. I have wondered if simply using Cermna, Bohmisch up to a certain timeframe? In German it was Rothwasser... My records are from mid 1500 to present.

Oh, yes!
Here you are:
Usti nad Orlici is a district in the Pardubice region, and the name of the settlement you need in Usti nad Orlice district is Dolni Cermna (today). It was called Rothwasser only between 1939-45 auf böhmisch.
In your case Dolni means under (nieder in German) So the place you are looking for is Niedertscherma in German. See here:
https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?search=Dolni%20Cermna&title=Special%3ASearch&fulltext=1&ns0=1
and here:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doln%C3%AD_%C4%8Cermn%C3%A1
The Parish place for Usti nad Orlici is Jakubovice , historically : Lanskroun. See here:
https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Czech_Republic_Parishes:_I_-_J
Summary:If you search for LANSKROUN in FS, you will find different options in the dropdown, and there are records! See attached:

Thank you sooo very much. I had looked in the wikipedia but not with the right question. So nice to have someone who can help and a reference for future questions. Just so you know...in 1987 I had a cousin invite me on a tour of Czechoslovakia originating from Madison, WI. I accompanied her and on the tour met a woman in Dolni Cermna who was a 3rd cousin. She discovered our common ancestry and traced it back to Zamrsk records and local city records to the mid 1500's, also extended lines. Over the years this information has helped others. Now those very records are available online. I find so much Czech genealogy being done at this time. My simple request of the Lord when I went to Dolni Cermna was to meet a grandmother with an old bible...and my goal was to thereafter baptize the whole village. Well, He gave me so much more than I asked, in a better way, and I no longer have to do all that work myself!!!

I am so happy for you, Carol! Great story. I also have roots from Bohemia, from Nürschan and Pilsen. My grandma got married to my Hungarian grandpa, who was actually from the former Hungarian part of Slovakia. So I also worked a lot with the Czechish/Bohemian church books. But my oldest data are from the 18th century only. I will continue the research a bit later!
I do hope that you can find something additional in those record I have mentioned.
Good luck! (Sorry for my poor English)

Eva, you have brightened my day and I am grateful. I now understand the political divisions and areas. Thank you. I have bookmarked the sites on my computer for future reference.
Your English is just fine! And I visited Pilsen on my original tour!! I believe it was a stop at a brewery...which was not my favorite stop!!

Just a tiny addition:
There are two places called "Rothwasser" one in Bohemia and one in Moravia. They are distinguished in german by "Böhmisch Rothwasser" which is Cermná, containing Dolní (nieder = lower) Cermná and Horní (ober = upper) Cermná, district Ústí nad
Orlicí (Wildenschwert). And there is "Mährisch Rothwasser" which is Cervená Voda in district Králíky.
Jakubovice (german: Jokelsdorf) is close by. Records for Jakubovice are within the Cermná books.
This is my paternal ancestors region, too ;-)
