I have a marriage record from Strasbourg, France from 1864 that I would like a translation for.
This record is the marriage of Michel Osswald and Anna Marie Distel in 1864. I am fairly confident about the names and dates and some of the ages. There is a longer section in the middle of the record that is too far above my ability. I am wondering if there is anything in that section of value. I would also like the rest translated to make sure I am correct in what I think I know. Every time I have made a copy digitally or on paper, the resolution is poor and impossible to read. So I would like to give you the reference to look at. It is very clear and readable. The record is found on the Bas-Rhin Archives website. Strasbourg etat civil - marriage - November 1864, # 557. I hope that is enough information. Thank you very much.

Additional Info
The husband produces his birth certificate, the death certificates of his father and mother and an authorization to contract marriage which was granted to him on October 13th by the Director of Customs in Strasbourg. The death certificate of the first wife is entered in the civil status registers of the city of Strasbourg. The said spouse declares by oath that he is unable to report from his elders, since the place of their death and that of their last domicile are unknown to him. This declaration is certified by the four witnesses present, who affirm under oath that although they know the future spouses, they do not know the place of death of his ascendants and their last domicile. The wife produces her birth certificate and her mother's death extract.
Note
No marriage contract has been made.

@Kathy Allred We are so glad you have joined our German community - It is a great place to get help and to help others! We have a lot of talented, experienced participants here.
Be sure to review the links at the top of our community page for some great resources - we add new ones as we find them.
We look forward to hearing from you. Most of the time, it is best to "ask a question" - do this by selecting the arrow to the right of "new discussion". Asking a question allows you to accept the answer or let us know you would like more help.
Thanks for being patient as we sometimes must wait for a response to come from a volunteer with the needed skill set. It is always good if you include the identification number of the person in question in Family Search Family Tree so we can see the bigger picture.
We look forward to your comments and questions.
Enjoy today! Cindy Jarvis
