One possibility I think is great
is either before or during - - have people record their memories of family history and events
especially using these apps that are so easy to use:

My family is considering a Family Reunion this summer. I appreciate Dennis Yancy's @Dennis J Yancey suggestion. I am hoping others can provde some addition suggestions so that I can add and mix the ideas that could work for my Reunion.

I created geneopardy boards with family information. It was a ton of fun to play! Use your family stories, places, people, etc. Check out the site
fhtl.byu.edu. There is a Geneopardy game there you could look at. The Geneopardy at FHTL at BYU is complex going back generations. Mine included bits of history of Grandpa and Grandma's life, their kids, and some of the grandchildren. For example, my father-in-law(Grandpa) is into anything with a motor. I created a Vroom Vroom category and included clues about the different vehicles he had through the years and other family stories involving vehicles. The Blast from the Past category had clues from the lives of the great grandparents and a couple for great greats. I didn't want it to be hard so I didn't go back that far in the ancestry.

I make coloring pages for my kids about my ancestors. You could add the name and FamilySearch ID# at the top of the page. You could make a folder of these for each kid who comes to the reunion.

Kids can cut and glue photos of their ancestors to a tree they color. You could even print the photos on sticker paper.

Would you please send me more about what you game looked like? did you do it as a powerpoint or on posters, etc? Did you just stick to the 4 generations of ancestors or did you use living people in the quesions, as well? Would love to hear more and see what you created! Thanks! My email is kristenmurphy06@gmail.com.
