I'm trying to learn to read Swedish as I research. The words 'was,'and 'with' are they a literal translation? If not, what would be their spelling and the literal translation?
Thanks again!

Literal translation
Den 5 Aprilis föddes (=was born) Peder Anders sön (=son), blef Christnad (blev kristnat=was christened/baptized) den 10 Aprilis af nämbdes (av nämndes) Anders
av nämndes means something like with name or by name. My mother language is Finnish and we do not have any prepositions and it is hard for me to sometimes to know which is right one. I know what it is in Finnish but to translate it to English

I got some closer with your help. Using Google on-line Swedish to English translation and having read that f and v ore interchangeable, I found that 'belv=became' and 'av=of'.
I think it is so cool that you tried even though Finnish is your mother language.:)

Everything else in my translation is correct, only thing that I was not sure is how "av" translates into English.
Swedish is the second official language in Finland, so I have studied it in school about 8 years
