.
I just noticed ...
.
They have NOW "Added" the On-Line "Indexes" for "Births" that were Registered between 1919 to 1934.
ONLY about 49 Years to go ( ie. 1935 to 1883 ).
[ As, 1984 to 2019 are ALREADY 'On-Line' ]
.
And, it works.
.
Plus, again, for those that did not know, it is FREE to be a Registered "User", to search the Indexes.
.
Enjoy.

And if you want the maiden name, and have access to Find My Past (England & Wales, Births 1837-2006).......Try that site......it seems to provide MAIDEN name of the mother for 1919 to 1934 (well it works for me) as does a search for mothers MAIDEN name only (no need to provide SURNAME, really!) helping to identify possible marriages/children, to check out via a census or on a tree search site. And if you now do add the SURNAME you can identify likely siblings. But do check back with the GRO, to obtain full first names, not just initials. The FMP site does not limit your search period, does not require gender and allows a County search.

G'Day
Glad to I have been able to provided something useful.
Although, I am from "Down Under", I know of; and, have been to, Springville, Utah (between Provo and Spanish Fork).
When we were in the USA last, we visited a Sister, who lives there now, who was on a Couple Mission here, many years ago.
Great to 'hear' from you.
All the best; and, Good Luck, with your "Family History" research.

FMP also covers deaths for GRO missing years
FMP also is only site (I know of) that provides marriage searches using both or either surnames, identifying possible marriages to check out. Using both surnames (and both first names) narrows the results down to single figures, except for Smith=Jones and other very common names.

'Yes', interesting ...
.
I had not really needed "Births" beyond 1919, so I had not looked ...
.
But ...
That said ...
.
Currently, with those new "Indexes" in the "General Registry Office" ( GRO ) for 'England and Wales' (1920 to 1934), the Mother's "Maiden" Name for the Child, ONLY appears up until (and, including) 1920.
.
In the Period from 1921 to 1934, there is NO Mother's "Maiden" Name for the Child ... disappointing ... perhaps a "Privacy" consideration.
.
As, the ALREADY available Period from 1984 to 2019, there was NO Mother's "Maiden" Name for the Child ... which was disappointing ... again, perhaps a "Privacy" consideration.
.
Yet, there IS provision for Mother's "Maiden" Name for the Child ... hopefully, that is a 'Work in Progress'; and, that may come, in time ... we can 'live in hope'.
.
And, for the Years up to 1920, do not forget, that a "Dash" ("▬"); as, the Mother's "Maiden" Name for the Child, generally, means, the Child's "Birth" was "Illegitimate" (ie. "Born out of Wedlock").
.
'Thank You', for the advice/'heads up', regarding "FindMyPast.co.uk" [ FindMyPast.com ].

I also find FreeBMD a useful website. Whilst coverage after 1985 is very patchy, it has the advantage (over the GRO site) of including marriages AND, for births, has the mother's maiden name included for all periods.
There are many errors and omissions in both the FreeBMD and GRO indexes, so I usually keep both open during my searches to cross-check any missing / confusing entries.
Another advantage with both websites (as well as Find My Past) is that errors can be reported - and will be corrected.

Any place on the GRO to search marriage record like the Birth/deaths ?
I am not having much luck with the FREEBMD or FREEREG sites
Thank you
